Models we see most
Common Fiat problems we fix
MultiAir unit failure
The MultiAir unit controls the intake valves with oil pressure. Owners call it the brick. Dirty oil clogs it and the engine misfires. We replace it and set you up with a shorter oil change schedule.
Clutch wear
The Fiat 500 manual has a light clutch that wears with city driving. You feel it slip on hills. We replace the clutch and check the flywheel.
Dual clutch automatic faults
The early 500L used a dual clutch automatic. It shifts rough and can jerk at low speed. Fresh fluid and a software update help. We can test it and tell you where it stands.
Random warning lights
Fiat electrical faults show up as odd warning lights. A weak battery or a loose ground causes most of them. We test the charging system first.
Oil leaks on the 1.4 turbo
The 1.4 turbo in the Abarth and 500L can leak oil from the valve cover. The turbo oil line can weep too. We reseal it.
Suspension noise
The 500 has a short wheelbase and a firm ride. Strut mounts and sway bar links wear and clunk. We replace them and the car feels tight again.

The right tool for Fiat
We use a scan tool that talks to every Fiat module. No guessing.
I bought a 2008 Mini Cooper S. Clubman about a month ago. I replaced just about everything on the engine to no avail. It just would not idle like it should. I determined it was a bad timing chain. As it turned out I was right. I took it to James who agreed and he had his technician Tony replace the timing chain components. They went the extra mile to remove the oil pan and remove the chewed up debris from the oil pump screen. It now runs like a brand new car! Thanks to them, I'll enjoy this car for many years to come. Great service and very polite. Very knowledgeable too.
